The Vermont Accreditation Project (VAP) was founded in 1998 by members of the VAEYC Accreditation Committee. The committee’s primary task is to improve the quality of child care in Vermont by increasing the number of early childhood programs accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The project is designed to inform early childhood educators about the benefits of accreditation, and provide support to programs seeking accreditation.
